Family Campouts

Once in the Fall (October) and once in the Spring (April – May) we go camping! We generally go to one of the beautiful parks that are within a 30-45 minute drive from Laurel, although we do occasionally venture a little farther.

Family Campouts run Friday evening through Sunday morning, giving Scouts and their families 2 nights in a tent. On a campout, expect delicious food, plenty of time to work with your Den on outdoor adventures and advancement, and several Pack-wide activities and games including a nature hike and an exciting campfire with skits, songs, and s’mores!

If you haven’t been camping before… don’t worry! We have several experienced campers who are happy to help guide you, just let us know! All of our camping locations have nearby bathrooms and clean water.

As the name implies, siblings and parents (1 parent is required) are welcome at Family Campouts!

Campouts cost a small per-person fee (usually $15-20), to cover the site reservation and food. Saturday breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and Sunday breakfast are provided.
